Special Events @ St. Thomas

The Transition Team, appointed by the Vestry, meets regularly to assist with welcoming Lex and Zonnie Breckinridge into the St. Thomas community. Currently, the team is contacting everyone on the parish lists (pledging member or not) with an invitation to enjoy a casual visit with our new rector at someone’s home.

We are organizing small groups geographically by zip code; individuals serving as hosts invite 10-20 people to their homes for light refreshments and a brief chat with Lex. The gatherings will take place over the next few months; you will be called when your neighborhood groups have been organized. For those who cannot attend their specific neighborhood gathering, we will host a general meeting later in the Great Hall. Contact: Church Office

Saturday, August 28
Nature Hike to Lake Dorothy

Lake Dorothy lies serenely in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. The trailhead is a 70-mile drive from St. Thomas. This moderate 4-mile round-trip hike is suitable for children aged 6 and up. Allow eight hours for the drive, hike, and exploration. Contact: Mary Pneuman

Tuesday, August 31
Mariners Baseball vs. the Angels

Another all-ages event. No matter how well or poorly the Mariners play, there’re always garlic fries and something to watch on the giant TV screen. Contact: Joseph Scovel

Saturday, September 4
Nature Hike in the Federation Forest State Park

The Federation Forest State Park is a jewel of old-growth timber and includes an interpretive center and displays. An easy hike of 4 miles round trip, it's suitable for children of all ages. The trailhead is 70 miles from St. Thomas. Allow 6-7 hours for driving and exploring. Contact: Mary Pneuman

SOLD OUT! Thursday, September 9
Sounders vs. Salt Lake

Not enough tickets were available for our group. We'll try again next year.
