The Transition Team, appointed by the Vestry, meets
regularly to assist with welcoming Lex and Zonnie Breckinridge
into the St. Thomas community. Currently, the team is contacting
everyone on the parish lists (pledging member or not) with an invitation
to enjoy a casual visit with our new rector at someone’s home.
We are organizing small groups geographically by zip code; individuals
serving as hosts invite 10-20 people to their homes for light
refreshments and a brief chat with Lex. The gatherings will take place
over the next few months; you will be called when your neighborhood
groups have been organized. For those who cannot attend their specific
neighborhood gathering, we will host a general meeting later in the

Saturday, August 28 Nature Hike to Lake Dorothy
Lake Dorothy lies serenely in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. The trailhead is a 70-mile drive from St. Thomas.
This moderate 4-mile round-trip hike is suitable for children aged 6 and up. Allow eight hours for the drive, hike, and exploration.

Mariners play, there’re always garlic fries and something to

Saturday, September 4 Nature Hike in the Federation Forest State Park
The
Federation Forest
State Park is a jewel of old-growth timber and includes an interpretive center and displays. An easy hike of 4 miles round trip, it's suitable for children of all ages.
The trailhead is 70 miles from St. Thomas. Allow 6-7 hours for driving and exploring.

Slade Gorton, former US Senator and member of the 9/11 Commission, will speak about how our world has changed as a result of the attacks and our response to them.
Breakfast is served at 8:30 am in the Great Hall. Ladies are welcome to
